5 Going On 15

I feel like I have been through the ringer this week. So much so that the call my husband and I got the other night from a Hilton representative selling a week in their new luxury time share in Hawaii, was a cruel, cruel joke. The rate wasn’t that incredible [...]

Volunteeraholic

Last night was Back to School night and I knew they were going to be there. Who is “they” you might wonder? The PTA. Yep, it was only a matter of time before I had a school-age child and therefore would be faced with the opportunity to join the Parent [...]

Kindergarten Tears

Olivia started kindergarten on Wednesday and I know I said I wouldn’t cry but I wanted to confess right off the bat that I actually cried, not once, but twice. At Olivia’s new school children and their parents are to arrive at 8:20 followed by parents engaging their kindergartener in [...]

Frogs and Snails and Puppy-dog Tails

This week I found myself having to take down a Facebook status I posted because people thought I was saying that I was having a boy. I simply had stated that “Boy, I have my hands full with three girls” and for some reason that word “boy” really stood out [...]

Drunk Blogging

As I’m writing this, it is late at night for this pregnant mommy. I don’t usually blog past 9 pm but I can’t sleep tonight. I am super-hormonal and very emotional. I liken it to drunken dialing. I’ve mentioned that a friend of mine said she can’t trust her thinking [...]

Lazy or Just Plain Pregnant?

I haven’t been feeling good this week. I caught a cold on top of having pretty bad morning sickness (Why it is called that I have no idea, ‘cause for me it is an all day affair). I have been death warmed over. I have been feeling like staying inside [...]

“We’re Done!”

We are all recovered from my sister's wedding weekend. I am happy to report that the Blaustein girls were on their best behavior. They were dressed adorably; they wore beautiful vintage-blue dresses and had their hair pulled back with halos of yellow roses adorning their heads. Georgia was a superb [...]

You Want My Kids in Your Wedding?

A word to those of you who have siblings with children and who are thinking about asking them to be in your wedding: just because you are related doesn’t mean that you are obligated in anyway to ask them to be in your wedding. If the kids are a bit [...]

Welcome to the Jungle

As if our neighbors needed another reason to hate us... Today is Georgia’s 3rd birthday and what did we get her? A drum set. It is loud and she is proud. She looks like animal from the Muppets playing the drums. She kind of plays like him too. When I [...]
